Checkerboard Design specializes in a variety of residentail project types including new home design, additions and remodeling projects, Paper to CAD services and we have an extensive plan set library of ranch, two story and duplex designs.

When starting a new project, I will meet with the client either in person, through email or Zoom for a free design consultation.  This stage would include getting the design specifics, budget, if building lot has been chosen and general timeframe of project.

A general footprint and floor plan layout will then be generated as a starting point.  If you are still interested in me taking the design further, a contract will be drawn up that will address design and drafting fees and what's included with the set of plans.

Plans will be shared using PDF's for ease of document delivery and review.

All necessary documents to obtain building permits will be included in final building plan set.
